We act as a Data Controller for personal data relating to our customers and website users. In many cases, our customers (charities, mosques, and community organisations) are the Data Controllers for donor data processed through our platform.

- Usage data relating to your use of the portal

c) Donor Data
We do not collect or store donors’ card or bank details. All donation payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe and SumUp.
We may process limited donor-related data on behalf of our customers, such as:

- Optional donor name or message (if provided by the donor)
In these cases, our customer is the Data Controller, and we act only as a Data Processor.

- Process subscriptions and billing (via GoCardless, PayPal, and card providers)
- Communicate with customers about their account or services

3. Role of Our Clients (Charities & Organisations)
When donations are made through the theOlivepod platform, personal data relating to donors is collected for and on behalf of the relevant charity or organisation using our services (the “Client”).
In these circumstances:
- The Client is the Data Controller for donor personal data.
- KLIKD LTD acts solely as a Data Processor, providing the technology that enables the Client to collect and manage donations.
- Donor data is made available to the Client so that they can administer donations, process Gift Aid, provide receipts, manage supporters, and comply with their own legal and regulatory obligations.
Each Client is responsible for:
- Maintaining their own privacy policy;
- Informing donors how their data will be used;
- Ensuring that their use of personal data is lawful and GDPR-compliant;
- Responding to donor requests relating to access, correction, or deletion of data.
If you have donated to an organisation using the theOlivepod platform and wish to exercise your data protection rights in relation to that donation, you must contact the relevant charity or organisation directly. We are not able to delete or amend records that a Client controls, except on that Client’s documented instructions.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Contract – to provide our services and manage your account
- Legitimate Interests – to operate, improve, and secure our platform
- Legal Obligation – to comply with tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements

- Subscriptions and service fees are charged by us using GoCardless, PayPal, and card payment providers.
- Donations made through the platform are processed by Stripe and/or SumUp on behalf of our customers.
We do not store full payment card details. All payment providers operate under their own privacy policies and regulatory obligations.
